Lifestyle precinct at Tun Razak Exchange to open in 4Q2023

The Exchange TRX, the lifestyle neighborhood of the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) in Kuala Lumpur, is set to start in 4Q2023. According to builder Landlease, The Exchange TRX will most likely have greater than 400 outlets throughout four retail degrees, using 1.3 million sq ft of overall net lettable place.

Wilson includes that occupancy levels at The Exchange TRC are “well ahead of market ratios”. “Our company believe the diversified retail mix enhanced by vibrant leisure and amusement activations will act as a key point of distinction and even will steer viewers to linger longer and make repeated trips.”

Shops will feature “new-to-market labels, statement outlets, and reimagined shop structures”. Support occupants include Golden Display Cinemas, Japanese outlet store Seibu, and even Hong Kong’s Dairy Farm Company. There may even be 100 dining outlets.

Mitch Wilson, project executive for The Exchange TRX and director of market for Lendlease Malaysia, states that the lifestyle district is pictured as a “city-defining project” within TRX. “As a global business, we will display our global placemaking knowledge alongside our 43-year history in Malaysia to present our signature strategy to experiential retail.”

The Exchange TRX will have a 10-acre rooftop public-activated recreation area. Called TRX City Park, it is developed by Lendlease in partnership with landscape designers Oculus & Pentago. It will feature young children’s play areas, water attributes, and also shaded enclaves. It is going to equally serve as a location to hold exhibits including occasions.
