864 Households Applied For HDB Loan Deferments From April To August 2020: MND
The HDB has benefited about 2,500 residentials on their HDB mortgage payments from Apr to August 2020, reported the Ministry of National Development in Parliament on 14 October 2020.
Among the 2.5K, 864 families concluded to delay their credit fees, whereas 277 minimized their property loan charges.
MND did the report in answer to Member of the Parliament Ng Ling Ling, who inquired on the amount of application for postponement of HDB funding settlement were accepted by HDB from the beginning of the CB time span and also the division of the certified requests.
“Housing and Development Board arranges personal monetary guidance to residents seeking aid with their Housing and Development Board financial loan monthly payments to have knowledge of their concerns, furthermore establish appropriate efforts to benefit them,” said MND.
It indicated that the assistance actions include supporting property owners to extend or lessen loan monthly payments , also expand their property loan tenure subject specified age limits.
“As the monetary guidance is comprehensive, we do not have records on the range of houses that requested exclusively to delay their mortgage contributions,” it shared.
Even so, Ministry of National Development assured that they are thoroughly tracking the circumstance and is going to assess the capacity of their support means as the issue evolves.
